Who each one is right for
- U-Haul Ready-To-Go Box: cheapest if you have a truck, time, and don't mind two trips to a U-Haul store. No delivery, no dollies, one week.
- HiveBoxx: polished national brand, lots of package sizes, higher price, one week standard. Good for corporate relocations.
- Rentacrate: the old-school crate company, strong on office moves, lots of dollies. Residential pricing is per-room.
- Geaux Crates / Stack Moves: smaller operators with fair prices and one-week rentals.
- Bin & Back: one-week or two-week rentals (most people take two), free delivery and pickup seven days a week within 30 miles of downtown, 2 dollies included, Houston-owned. Best value if you want it delivered and want time to unpack.
Questions to ask any bin rental
- How long is the rental, really, and what does an extra week cost?
- Is delivery to one address and pickup from another included?
- Do they deliver on weekends without a fee?
- Are dollies included, and how many?
- How are the bins cleaned between customers?
- What's the damage fee per bin?
