Where the Galleria and Uptown is, and how far we come

The City's Super Neighborhood 21, Greater Uptown, is the mixed-use district at the West Loop centered on the Galleria and crossed by Buffalo Bayou, in ZIP codes 77056, 77057 and 77024 (City of Houston, Super Neighborhood 21). It is about seven miles west of downtown, well inside our free delivery zone.

What a move in the Galleria and Uptown looks like

The City's description says it plainly: 1950s single-family areas here have been redeveloped into apartments, condominiums and patio homes. Around the Galleria that means residential towers with a concierge, a loading dock and a freight elevator, and gated patio-home communities a few blocks away. Tower moves need a reserved elevator and usually a certificate of insurance; gated communities need a gate code in your booking notes. We handle both.

Parking, streets and rules to know

Uptown Houston is the district body for the area (Uptown Houston). Traffic on Post Oak and Westheimer is the practical constraint: book your building's dock for a morning window if you can, and avoid weekday rush hours and the weeks before Christmas, when the mall traffic is at its worst.

Condo associations here often have their own move-in rules, deposits and hours on top of the building's. Ask for them in writing when you sign, and send them to your movers and to us.

Cardboard after a move here

The City's Westpark Consumer Recycling Center is in this part of town, at 5900 Westpark (77057): Tuesday to Saturday, 8 to 5, four visits a month (City of Houston recycling centers). Towers use private haulers, so that is where a pile of cardboard would have to go. Rented bins go back on our truck.

A question we get from Galleria / Uptown

Do you deliver moving bins to Galleria-area towers and gated communities?

Yes. For a tower, reserve the freight elevator and tell us the dock hours; we send a certificate of insurance the same day if the building asks. For a gated community, put the gate code in the booking notes. Delivery and pickup are free in 77056, 77057 and 77024.
